About Abridge
Abridge was founded in 2018 with the mission of powering deeper understanding in healthcare. Our AI-powered platform was purpose-built for medical conversations, improving clinical documentation efficiencies while enabling clinicians to focus on what matters most—their patients.
Our enterprise-grade technology transforms patient-clinician conversations into structured clinical notes in real-time, with deep EMR integrations. Powered by Linked Evidence and our purpose-built, auditable AI, we are the only company that maps AI-generated summaries to ground truth, helping providers quickly trust and verify the output. As pioneers in generative AI for healthcare, we are setting the industry standards for the responsible deployment of AI across health systems.
We are a growing team of practicing MDs, AI scientists, PhDs, creatives, technologists, and engineers working together to empower people and make care make more sense. We have offices located in the Mission District in San Francisco, the SoHo neighborhood of New York, and East Liberty in Pittsburgh.
The Role
We're looking for a Senior Social Media Marketer to own how Abridge grows across social. This is a role for someone who treats social as a performance channel with a funnel behind it: someone who can build an audience from a standing start, run a real experiment cadence, and connect audience growth to outcomes further down the funnel like email capture, content consumption, event registration, pipeline influence, and recruiting.
Abridge is an AI company building in healthcare, and we have the substance to build a meaningful public presence: a product that clinicians use and love, a team of practicing physicians and AI researchers, and a CEO who is himself a practicing cardiologist. Two conversations we should be central to, the AI conversation and the healthcare conversation, are happening every day on social without us in them. What we need is someone who can close that gap deliberately, with a plan, a stack, and a number they're accountable to.
Writing matters in this role. You'll be publishing in the brand voice and in the voices of our executives and clinicians, and the work has to be native and genuinely good. But the hard requirement here is growth: we're looking for a growth operator who writes well, not a writer who also reads dashboards. You'll have editorial and creative partners for the craft, and you'll be the one deciding what to test, what to scale, what to kill, and what any of it did for the business.
This role reports into Growth and partners closely with Creative, Comms, Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, Events, and Recruiting. You'll own social strategy, channel prioritization, distribution, experimentation, and measurement end to end.
What You'll Do
Own audience growth as a number. Set and hit targets for follower growth, reach, and engaged audience by platform, and own the framework that connects social activity to ToFu, MoFu, and BoFu outcomes. Be able to say what a month of work produced and what you'd do differently next month.
Build and own the measurement layer. Define the metrics that matter, instrument the tracking (UTM discipline, analytics, self-reported attribution, event and campaign tagging), and report to marketing leadership on a regular cadence. Bring insights back that change what we make.
Run a continuous experiment program. Maintain a live backlog of hypotheses across hooks, formats, cadence, first frames and thumbnails, posting time, cross-posting, and audience targeting. Design tests that can actually be read, and be disciplined about killing what doesn't work.
Decide which platforms we play on and how. Own LinkedIn and X as our primary channels, and make the call on where else we should be investing across Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, etc. Each one has a different audience, algorithm, and reason to exist for us.
Build the growth stack outside the native platforms. Stand up and operate the tooling that makes growth repeatable: publishing and scheduling, audience research and enrichment, listening and monitoring, link tagging, competitive and creator tracking, reporting. Automate the parts that should be automated, with clear judgment about where third-party tooling crosses a line we don't want to cross as a healthcare company.
Use paid amplification where organic hits a ceiling. Partner with Growth to put budget behind what's working, run retargeting off social audiences, and understand the interplay between organic reach and paid distribution.
Build an employee and executive amplification program that runs as a system. Identify the right internal voices among our clinicians, researchers, executives, and subject-matter experts, and build the operating model that keeps them posting: content supply, drafting support, approval flow, tooling, and measurable reach. Success here is a program that works without you writing every post.
Publish at a high standard and at real volume. Write, edit, ship, and iterate across posts, threads, carousels, comments, executive content, short-form video, and emerging formats. Know when something needs polish and when speed and native execution matter more.
Identify the stories worth distributing. Proactively find what's worth posting across the company (product launches, customer impact, research, clinicians, events, cultural moments, the people building Abridge) and bring a strong point of view on the angle and the channel.
Partner with Creative to get assets made. Brief designers, writers, videographers, and agencies with clear strategic and creative context. Contribute to ideation, give useful feedback, and treat creative partners as collaborators.
Build community. Reply with intention, surface customer and community voices, participate where our audiences actually are, and create real-time moments around launches and flagship events.
Use AI as a force multiplier. Incorporate AI throughout your workflow, from audience research and ideation to drafting, editing, repurposing, analysis, and reporting. Experiment with new tools and workflows, and have a considered view on where AI makes the work better and where it doesn't.
Partner across marketing and the company. Work alongside Growth, Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, and Events. Bring a distribution and audience perspective into planning early, and turn company priorities into social opportunities.
What You'll Bring
Five to eight years in social media marketing or growth marketing, with direct hands-on ownership of social as a growth channel.
A demonstrated track record of growing an audience, with real numbers attached. You can walk through what the account looked like when you started, where it got to, and specifically what drove it.
Fluency with the funnel. You've been held accountable to metrics beyond engagement, and you can explain how you connected social activity to downstream outcomes like email signups, registrations, demo requests, or pipeline, including where the attribution was imperfect and how you worked around it.
Analytics and attribution chops. You're comfortable in platform analytics and in tools like GA4 or Amplitude, you're rigorous about tagging and tracking, and you can build a report that leadership actually uses.
Hands-on fluency across multiple platforms, including LinkedIn and X, plus real working knowledge of at least a couple of others (e.g., Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and TikTok). You understand the cultural, algorithmic, and creative differences between them and can create natively for each.
Experience with the tooling layer around social. You've built or automated workflows for publishing, audience research, listening, enrichment, or reporting, and you have a point of view on which tools are worth it and which create more risk than value.
Experience running paid social, even at modest budget, and an understanding of how paid and organic compound.
Strong writing and editorial judgment. You can find the hook, write an opening line that earns attention, develop an idea clearly, and edit your own work. You don't need to be the best writer on the marketing team, but you need to be good enough that nothing waits on someone else to make it publishable.
Experience building executive, employee, or subject-matter-expert voices. You've helped people become credible public voices and can speak specifically to what made the program work and how you kept it running.
An AI-native working style. You use AI every day, have considered opinions about where it strengthens the work and where it weakens it, and actively experiment with new tools and workflows.
Experience inside a high-growth technology or AI company, where priorities move quickly and you're often creating structure where none exists.
Exceptional execution. You're comfortable moving fast, making decisions with incomplete information, and shipping consistently.
Strong cross-functional influence. You can bring people together around a point of view and move work forward without formal authority.
A proactive, low-ego mindset. You're curious, generous with your expertise, and motivated by work that compounds.
Bonus Points
You've grown a personal presence on X, LinkedIn, YouTube, or TikTok to a meaningful following.
You've grown an audience in a regulated or specialized industry, where credibility is built slowly and mistakes are expensive.
You've built communities: Slack groups, subreddits, newsletters, events.
Experience in healthcare, health tech, or selling to clinical audiences.
